Choosing a Drill Bank

There are two drill banks to choose from:

COACHES DRILLS - These are the drills that correspond to the practice plans, for example Novice 01 10 Puck, the description of this drill is in Novice Practice Plan 1. These drills cannot be changed in the Coaches Drills bank. You can edit these drills and save them in your own drill bank.

MY DRILLS: This is your own drill bank where you can create, save and print your own drills.

Choosing an Ice Surface

Click the arrow beside ENVIRONMENT and you can choose from FULL ICE, HALF ICE, (RIGHT OR LEFT) or GOALIE VIEW

Creating a New Drill 

- Click the NEW DRILL tab.
- To place objects or actions on the ice, hold your cursor on the object or action, click and hold the left mouse button drag the object to where you want it on the ice surface and release. 
- The action lines have an anchor at each end and a curve point in the middle.  These can be moved to where ever you choose. 
- Passing and shooting lines do not curve. 
- Any object or action can be rotated clockwise or counterclockwise by clicking on the object or action then clicking on on of the ROTATE ITEM tabs at the bottom of the screen.
- Click on an object or action and then one of the BLACK BLUE or RED color tabs at the bottom of the screen to change colours.
- Text like LW, RD, F1 or whatever you choose can be added to the botom left of the X and O objects.
- Text can be typed on two lines when the text box is place on the ice. Click on the curved line top left of the text box to edit text. More than on text box can be used if additional text is needed.
- If you have multiple objects or actions in one spot you can move the object you want to effect to the top or bottom by clicking on the object then SEND TO FRONT or SEND TO BACK tabs at the bottom of the screen.
- You can delete an item by clicking on it then clicking on the DELETE ITEM tab at the bottom of the screen.
     

Saving a Drill

To save a new or edited drill click on the SAVE NEW tab,  a new drill will be created in the 'MY DRILLS' bank. Note more than one drill can be created with the same name.

Editing an Existing Drill

If you edit a drill from the MY DRILLS bank and click SAV the changes it will be saved in the existing drill, if you ckick SAVE NEW a new drill will be created.

If you are editing a drill from COACHES DRILLS and you click SAVE NEW or SAVE a new drill will be created in the MY DRILLS bank. Note more than one drill can be created with the same name.

Placing and Moving Objects on the Ice

- To place objects or actions on the ice, hold your cursor on the object or action, click and hold the left mouse button drag the object to where you want it on the ice surface and release.

Choosing Colours

You can select a colour for an object before you put it on the ice by clicking the BLACK , BLUE or RED colour tabs at the bottom of the screen then dragging and dropping the object or action you wish to the screen. You can also change a colour on the ice by clicking on the object then the colour tab.

Rotating Objects

Click on any object or action and then ROTATE COUNTER CLOCKWISE or ROTATE CLOCKWISE tabs at the bottom of the screen.

Numbering

 NUMBERING can be turned on or off when on the players X,O, F or D will be numbered in the order they are placed on the screen.
Text like LW, RD, F1 or whatever you choose can be added to the botom left of the X and O objects.

Text

Text can be typed on two lines when the TEXT box is placed on the ice. Click on the curved line top left of the text to edit text. More than one text box can be used if additional text is needed.

Tool Tips

When the TOOL TIPS is turned on a description of each tab will show when the cursor is held over a tab at the bottom of the screen.
