Brent has instructed, owned and operated goaltender schools over the past seventeen years.
From award-winning educator, to Junior A and University Canadian Championship goaltender, to trainer and course developer, achievement and drive have defined Brent Bradford’s career to date. Brent has been a hockey player since he was five years old.
He has played at elite levels, and has been part of two National Championship Titles with the 1992-93 Jr. A Centennial Cup Champion Kelowna Spartans (BCJHL) and the 1998-99 National Champion University of Alberta Golden Bears (CIAU). During the 1992-93 hockey season, Brent shared in the award of the Williams Forslund Trophy “Best Goals Against Goaltending Duo” in the BCJHL with the Kelowna Spartans.
His drive to win has always been his approach to the game, exemplified early in his junior hockey career. He was honored as the Most Dedicated Player with the Trail Jr. Smoke Eaters in three consecutive seasons. Outside of playing the game, Brent has instructed, owned and operated goaltender schools over the past seventeen years.
This same commitment and drive can also be seen in his career as an educator. In over nine years with the Edmonton Catholic School Board, Brent has achieved - and helped others achieve - great things. He has become a sought-after resource writer, motivator, program developer and innovator, marketer, leader and speaker for a number of programs, among them Positive Playgrounds and Ever Active Schools.
His dedication to students and insights into Physical Education have won him educational awards and accolades, ranging from Letters of Commendation from the Health, Physical Education Council of Alberta (HPEC), to the nationally recognized 2002-03 Young Professional Award from the Canadian Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (CAHPERD).
In support of these accolades, Brent was selected as one of just three teachers in Alberta to lead an innovative project called Motivators In Motion, funded through Health Canada and Ever Active Schools. Part of his mandate was to facilitate and grow awareness of quality daily physical activity and bring it to life in schools throughout the province.
Brent has taken the Leadership Formation Training through the Edmonton Catholic School Board as well as a Graduate Program in Education at the University of Alberta. Brent, Owner and Program Developer of Bradford's Goal Academy, aspires to become a school administrator, University Professor and School Board Superintendent in no particular order.
From the classroom to the hockey arena, Brent, a Junior A and College hockey scout, believes that teaching goaltenders works best when done with passion, motivation, empathization and understanding. Brent brings all of these qualities to the Hockey Coach To Coach Program.
The Hockey Coach To Coach Goaltender Program has been specifically designed to provide goaltenders, coaches and parents with quality opportunities to progressively learn how to develop and strengthen individual skills in the area of goaltending.

With an incredibly strong competitive sports background Dan became the youngest badminton professional in Canada at age 17 winning a nation title as well. Dan coached countless amazing kids. His experience and passion for coaching has never waivered believing great coaching can inspire great athletes and life long learning.
As a young athlete Dan also played hockey and dabbled in football, soccer, wrestling and gymnastics. His passion for hockey has grown as a result of playing competitive hockey for over 44 years. As a father Dan started coaching hockey because his son was playing, like most hockey coaches. Dan discovered, that even with a solid understanding of the game as a player and a strong sports background, these skills didn't translate into being a great coach. He also discovered that although there was a great deal of material available, there really was little direction about what to coach or how to coach. The most interesting thing Dan found is that Hockey Associations do not have “coaching consistency” albeit a difficult thing to do. Questions such as what is being taught and what do the kids need to learn each year are not formulized. He felt that there had to be a better way to support Hockey Associations to assure that all coaches, not just the great coaches, can impart a consistent knowledge base to the kids. Dan believes coaches need a prescribed program on what and how to teach year after year –a consistent program that builds on the knowledge taught in the previous years.
As his son progressed and played hockey at higher levels he had the privileged of being coached by Coach Sam. Dan was blown away. Sam’s methodology and approach to coaching was extremely refreshing. Since then a friendship has developed and Dan has had Sam mentoring him as a coach ever since. Dan decided that the information he was receiving from Sam was too incredible not to share. Hockey Coach to Coach is a result of Dan and Sam wanting everyone to be able to share in the exceptional knowledge and experience of Coach Sam.
Dan’s son is also a goalie and he had the fortune of being coached at Coach Brent's hockey school. Brent has joined the Hockey Coach to Coach team and is sharing his invaluable goaltending information as well.
We know you can translate all this information into something exceptional for your team and organization.
